Reasonable Stay.
Unfortunately the hotel wasn’t quite as good as I was expecting it to be.
The rooms are very small! My biggest issue is there isn’t any windows or anything for some actual ventilation. It gets extreamly stuffy & warm in the room, I’d hate to stay there in summer!
To sit at the dressing table you needed to sit on the edge of a bed, the provided stool didn’t fit in the small gap. A few hangers on an open rail for clothes only option was to keep clothes in the cases.
Beds seemed comfortable, yet somehow one mattress was slipping off the bed constantly.
Rooms were somewhat soundproofed, but doors opening/closing sounded literally like your own was opening. People talking on corridors may as well have been in your room.
Downstairs decor was lovely. Staff friendly. Strange when we went to sit & charge phones in the bistro before leaving (we asked the staff if this was possible first to be told it wasn’t a problem if ordering drinks etc) after ordering drinks we were told the sockets didn’t work??
Luggage storage was handy.
Location - a good 20/30minute walk to the main areas of Dublin City centre, but plenty of pubs/food options around the neighboring streets if you don’t want to venture that far. We didn’t eat in the restaurant at the hotel.
Good transport links for the buses to the airport & very reasonably priced.
Possibly we’d stay again if the price was competitive to staying more central, but definitely not for people who aren’t ready to get some steps in!
