Location, Location & the Hairy Washing Machine

Best location for the train. Wonderful property. Room/Apt size worked great for our 5 nights. Would have liked to know about turning on the lights. The biggest negative for the property was the washer. Tue, Apr 29th went to put a load of clothes in the machine and found hair around the rubber seal.(pictured) Took a picture and went down to notify the front desk. I was apologized to and was told someone would clean the machine, while we were out the Wed, Apr 30th. Came back from a day on the town to find the washer still not clean. Found chunks of the same hair on the floor. (pictured) Additionally, hair was inside under the rubber and it seemed the cleaning only tried to address what could be seen. Like on the initial report, I was advised I could use a machine on the 1st floor, but that would have required staying down there after a long day. This hotel was booked because of the washer, as that allowed for limited clothes to pack. Unfortunately, we had to buy articles of clothing across the street to hold us over. Wish this would have been handled better. Appreciated the polite verbal response by the front desk. We had 5 or 6 rooms & ours was the only one with a cleanliness matter. Based on that, I'd stay there again. But still saddens me at no time between Wednesday afternoon from saturday, the matter still wasn't handled.

It was very clean and the rooms are a good size and up to date. Nice area the main attractions aren’t too far by car otherwise it’s about a 30 minute walk.

We loved our stay at Beckett Locke. There was public transportation right in front. We parked our rental on the street and barely used it. The rooms were clean. Staff was great! Our room was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures, and there was not much comfortable seating (for 4 people). But we didn’t care; we didn’t stay in the room that much anyway. Totally recommend Beckett Locke. I would stay there again!

This is a tough one. Really liked the room but didn't like the bed platform. The hotel cleaning staff was very superficial. The room was extremely dusty because of the ventilation system, tops of everything were dusty. The lack of fresh air in the room was a bummer and the single window was dirty. We bought cleaning supplies and did our own daily. It was very windy during our stay and I think that increased the dust in the building. Otherwise it was extremely pleasant. We stayed nearly a month and everything about the hotel lent itself to us. The tram next door is a game changer you can put right to work! Great location. We will stay there again!

Such a lovely apartment style room, perfect for our long weekend in Dublin. Cooking facilities work perfectly for making cooked breakfast each morning and a few simple dinners in the evening. Only request would be for a washing up sponge and tea towel. Beds were very comfortable and the apartment was spacious. Would have liked a full sized sofa as only 1 of us could fit on it so when watching tv one person had to sit on a dinning room chair. Overall the hotel was lovely and we would definitely stay again!

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it was good. A bit small and the bed could have been more comfortable. We lucked out with parking but I could see how that could be an issue. Otherwise, the staff was great. Location is convenient. I would book again.
