We stayed at the Hotel Riu for one week. Overall, it was a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things we didn’t like:
• The bathroom design was not very convenient. The walls were made of glass, so if someone used the toilet or shower at night, the light and shadows were visible in the room, which felt uncomfortable and awkward.
• There was an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom, even though the room itself was clean.
• The building looked older than expected. We were told it was only about five years old, but it felt more dated.
• The bed linens were very clean, but the chemicals used in the laundry caused skin irritation for us. We ended up buying our own sheets to use.
Other than that, everything else was acceptable. Transportation was a bit expensive since the hotel is far from the city, so taxi rides added up quickly. The buffets were good, and we also tried the Lebanese and Italian specialty restaurants. However, they didn’t feel very different from the main buffet—many dishes were repeated and there weren’t many unique options.
In general, it was a pleasant stay, but with a few issues that could be improved
Also WiFi was good but What’s app and Telegram does not work in Dubai
