I will be posting pictures of the filthy air vent in the bathroom, mold in bathroom and no locks on bathroom door. Plus an extra 5 pound parking fee is “just a little extra ” expense that was explained at check in. There were very limited parking areas open. Disappointed and will not book again.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room lovely, quiet. Breakfast very good. Didn't have any other meals but menu for dinner looked inviting and very reasonable. Very nice open plan lounge. Good location, close to beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Breakfast average?. Beds comfy. Acceptably clean. Pleasant staff. We asked for a quiet room which was good as there was a wedding party going on in the disco with very loud music. It was a very hot night in the UK when we arrived. This hotel is one that has little labels stuck on the window you are trying to open more than 2 inches, saying the reason for this restriction is for your health and safety as 'Windows are dangerous'. I went to reception to ask for the key to open the window further and unlock the safety feature. I was told he did not have the key. When I asked who did have he said no one in the hotel had them.... It was a health and safety feature! I pointed out that on an airless night with temperatures in the '80s it was both a risky and ridiculous feature. There were two fans provided in the room. However, all the sockets were on the far side of the room and given the short leads, they could only stand in one place. Were it not for this fan I dread to think how our night would have finished. Policies such as this hotels follow the letter of the law to cover their own backs whilst failing to use common sense thereby ignoring obvious guests needs. I would absolutely avoid this place if it was warm weather.

2 night stay

Good welcome to the hotel. Restaurant closed at 8.30 but we managed to get one of the last meals served and it was a good roast beef dinner with bottle of wine cost £40 for 2. The bedroom was spacious enough and nice view from 5th floor bedroom. Annoyingly, the card pass didn’t work on 2nd evening. We’ve had this before at this hotel. It seems they can’t program for a second night.
