Got in late and the guy at the front desk had no idea how to check us in. Took 30mins for us to pay the city tax while he was face timing someone to walk him thru doing it.

Avoid at all costs

I work all over the world and have stayed in hundreds if not thousands of hotels, and this is by far the worst I have ever witnessed. Outdated, filthy throughout, terrible rooms, and a really really unsafe feeling throughout. I did not stay here, I checked in, and after seeing the state of the place immediately left and found an alternative hotel. Avoid at all costs

Old and Dated.

Clean but very dated. No tea making facilities. No hair dryer and no air conditioning. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast Ok but staff not attentive to the buffet refill needs. Bathroom facilities not very good, shampoo empty, but was replaced when requested, tissues empty, threadbare towels were replaced on request but after three showers. The shower/water direction lever very old and shot off if pressure too high. Definitely not worthy of the Wyndham name but a cheap overnight stay.

Great hotel nr Dortmund, relaxed and accommodating

I have stayed at this hotel twice in 2 years now and both times have been brilliant for what I wanted. The hotel is in a great location, and very close to Dortmund if struggling to find anything central, you would need to drive/public transport to Dortmund centre but only 10 mins away. The lady on reception was very welcoming and had amazing English for us. Rooms are spacious enough and the hotel Is all in good condition, I will stay again in the future no doubt.

Smelly and cramped and rude staff.

We booked this hotel by mistake as it shared the same name with another hotel in Dortmund. We waited 20 minutes to check in and when finally served the man decided to start checking in another couple which was rude. We paid the city tax upfront and then we’re asked to pay more when we checked out. We weren’t given the WIFI code either. The hotel was small cramped and smelly and despite the no smoking signs it smelt of smoke constantly. And despite having a do not disturb sign on the door we were woken up early by house keeping. The local area isn’t very nice either but there is a few local supermarkets.

It was a nice hotel in a rather remote area. The room was comfortable and the service was appealing. I only wish I would have had time for the breakfast buffet.

Very Nice Hotel

I went to Dortmund for business and the hotel was accessible late. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was super clean with very accessible breakfast.

At check in my booking could not be found. At checkout they wanted a extra days stay saying that I had on Y paid for 2 nights not 3 even when I showed them the hotel.com printout. Room was not cleaned properly and staff very unfriendly as if they doing you a big favour. Did not have breakfast there as it looked terrible with tables full of dirty plates and staff not bothering to clean tables. Sparse breakfast with items finished and not being refilled.

Services nearby, barely functional rooms

The good bits about the hotel include how accessible grocery stores, a train station, and an ATM are from there. Each is not only nearby but very easily found. I have to commend the staff for answering my email asking about how to get to the venue I was visiting since Google Maps failed to specify the public transportation I had to use. (Oh, and just be pre-warned: the ticket machine by the station only accepts coins. This is obviously not the hotel's fault but I want to spread awareness to avoid awkward situations.) This help was very much appreciated. There was also free wi-fi. Now, onto the bad bits. The hotel's hallways reek of cigarette smoke. There is only one elevator and the blueprint of the place is simple enough but needlessly convoluted. My main issue is how there was no light source in the main room. The only lamps were in the bathroom and by the entry. This severely limits your enjoyment of the room and the activities available to you when you get back in the evening. The next point seems to be the standard in Germany from what I gathered but you also have no fridge to store any drinks or spoiling consumables. The church nearby rings its bells every hour throughout the night and the windows also fail to insulate other sounds from the streets. In all likelihood, you will have water overflowing when you take a shower and there is even an extra towel to accommodate this.
