It's a MOTEL, not a hotel. Maids did not speak english, so there was some confusion about what / when things were needed. There were some bugs (maybe silverfish?) in the tiny bathroom. Window air conditioner had a hard time cooling when it was near 100 outside. Desk staff were very accommodating & friendly. Downtown location was convenient & walkable to amenities.

My boyfriend and I drove in for a live show at the music theatre and we stayed at Hotel Royal Oak. The vibes were amazing, staff was very very nice, rooms were clean & very pretty, and importantly they had so many fun seating areas and things to do!! Cannot recommend this hotel enough.. we will be back again. 😊

Hotel is a re-conditioned “older” hotel with a lot more than a “fresh coat of paint”…it’s got CLASS!!! Rooms are unique,lobby seems ALIVE with lively music day and night. Super friendly staff!!

This hotel is located directly off a busy road. The staff member we saw multiple times was friendly, courteous, and prompt (for example we needed 2 more towels for our room). We are grateful we didn't have to go ask for more. Concerns: bathroom mildew mold on the tub and the base of the tub; no pillow protector sheets, and only one mattress had a protector- concerned about hygiene; only three outlets in room, and none where you can easily charge phones, etc.
