Hotel is tired and in need of a full refurb

A dated and dirty hotel. In need of a full refurb. Half the hotel is closed down including the bar and breakfast facilities. Lack of staff care and engagement. Room was dirty and dated. Holes in bed linen. Looking very tatty and in need of a close down and a full refurb. Go elsewhere if looking around the DTW Airport areas.

Never stay here! Awoken at 1 AM by front desk staff attempting to access room with master key because they stated no one was registered to the room and they thought a homeless person was using it!

My recent stay at the Radisson Detroit Metro Airport was unfortunately marred by several issues. Upon arrival at 3:00 PM, I was informed by the front desk that there was no hot water, a problem that had persisted since the previous day. While I was assured that the issue would be resolved by the time I reached my room, this was not the case. This lack of hot water presented a significant inconvenience, as I had a scheduled event to attend at 4:00 PM, I had to think fast and improvise in order to make my event on time. Upon returning to the hotel approximately four hours later, I inquired again about the hot water, and was informed that it should be available. While hot water was indeed present, the bathtub did not drain properly. Furthermore, there were cosmetic imperfections, including the need for paint touch-ups on the cabinet. Although the bed was comfortable, other issues were noted, such as curtains that did not fully cover the window, allowing light to enter during the early morning hours. The room offered standard amenities, including a microwave, mini-fridge, and ironing board with iron. A coffee maker was available for hot beverages, and the room itself was adequately spacious.

The room was dirty, and I’m not sure if it wasn’t cleaned at all or just certain areas. There was no hot running water, and they promised to fix it but never did. This was the deal breaker for me.

The carpet was wet, we think from the air conditioning. Staff was always away from the front desk. And there was no hot water in the shower. Plumbing was an issue.

I booked another room after ordering food from the hotels restaurant that is not fully in service and not receiving all of my food. A guy asked a few times to bring my food to my room, I had to be persistent with saying I can wait for my food. I saw the food was missing after I got to my room. I went to pick up the rooms telephone and there was no cord to connect the receiver and base... this was not a cordless phone. A huge security issue for anyone traveling electable a room that was booked for more than a month in advance. I called the front desk from my cell phone and the guy who answered blamed it on the guy who handed me the bag with my food and wanted to know my room number. I said that's okay and booked another room far away from there. It's some real sketchy stuff going on at this place and that same guy who answered the phone told me to leave a good review before any of this happened. I filed a claim because I need to be reimbursed for not staying any of the nights I paid for in advance and Expedia needs to not allow this place to be in their listing at all!
