The staff are fantastic.

Turtle beach and the hotel are quite lovely. Saw turtles on all 3 days there. Who knew Sri Lanka was sooo nice. The hotel breakfast is very good. Good variety of foods, good quality.

This was our second stay on our trip in Sri Lanka as we enjoyed the hotel so much the first time. Lovely comfortable rooms. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We dined in both restaurants and the food was excellent in each one. The rooftop bar has a really nice vibe to enjoy the stunning sunsets/cocktails. Would totally recommend if in this area.

Lovely, new property. Our ocean view room was excellent. Great beds and air conditioning. Staff were super attentive, friendly and helpful. Pool and beach area was great.

This was our second stay at Asian Jewel and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. Our room (Jasmine) had a direct panoramic view of Bird Lake and we saw many different species of birds as well as small animals including chipmunks, water monitors, geckos (and a cobra one one day but soon banished by the staff...). The staff here are wonderful, friendly and welcoming and nothing too much trouble, and the food is excellent with both Sri Lankan and British options. We are vegetarians and they went out of their way to adapt meals pretty much to whatever suits, but the star of the show is the Sri Lankan rice and curry. It is in a peaceful location but only a short and cheap tuk tuk ride - around £1.75 - into the more hectic beach area.
