This was a disappointing stay. I decided to spend more than usual on this hotel due to the location and amenities but the amenities were lacking. The main reason I booked this hotel was due to the gym so I could continue training for my hike on Acatenango. The one machine I needed (the treadmill) was out of service for the three days I was there. The other equipment was broken and had missing pieces. The gym is also closed on Sundays.
Additionally, there was no hot water in the room and The electricity went out twice for about an hour in the middle of the day on a Sunday.
These are things I would expect at hotels in Guatemala at lower price points. For the price I paid, I’m very disappointed.
