Asturias Winery Accommodation

It’s a good hotel but not a 5 star. The beds are big and comfy, the air con is great and the breakfast is very good too. However, they don’t have smart tv in the room so only Spanish channels available which isn’t great for international tourists; they don’t have a gym, they only had one lift in operation for 6 floors and the other allow of the bedrooms are full of marks which wouldn’t expect of a 5*.

Old cute hotel that is quaint. Staff was helpful and even provided us with eclipse glasses to watch the solar eclipse. Hotel is old so windows don’t insulate sound well. Floors are rickety and it’s easy to hear people in the hallway. Otherwise, beds were good and decent. Price was high likely due to solar eclipse frenzy.

Really good and clean hotel, although our room had a big gap in the roof where someone can peek through the air conditioners, which was a bit scary. Staff are helpful and friendly, would be going back there but perhaps not staying in that same room.

The location within a sanctuary is extraordinary BUT the 2 bar/ restaurants close about 6 and there’s only the hotel bar/restaurant. So if you want a bit of an evening out you must drive. Also, you can park very early or late but literally thousands of people come during the day so returning to the hotel with a car is impossible. We visited in August, so may be different other times of the year. Hotel is beautiful and the sanctuary with the Basilica and grotto very atmospheric- We wouldn’t stay there again.

Great location. My bed was not very comfortable, but my partner's was OK. Trying to park nearby was very annoying, but doable. Give it a try.
