A peaceful place to stay near Lake Constance

Spacious room with fridge. Dog friendly. Clean and comfortable. Easy parking. Quiet village setting. Near Lake Constance. Very pleasant and helpful owner.

Limited food service on Sunday, only buffet menu which looked pretty dry and burned. Couldn’t get a second set of towels on same day, which is pretty poor. Staff tried hard but there were language barriers and I am fluent in German as well. We stayed only one night so we could manage but wouldn’t choose to come back.

If comfort is not important, then it is fine.

This was a very basic "hotel". The first room I was put in was pretty bad and looked as though it had not been decorated since the 1980's. There are not blackout curtains on any of the windows so be prepared to have the sun come blasting in at 6 AM. The beds feels like something you would have slept on in sleep away camp when you were a child. I was so disappointed with my room that I begged to be moved to anything better the second and remaining nights. They moved me to a "comfort" room which was a little better as far as the decor goes. There is no air conditioning and they do not supply small fans to help move the air around so also be prepared to be hot in the room. They also say they have a "gym" but beware it is a closet with a treadmill, bike, old elliptical and a couple of hand weight. It was also about a 20 minute drive to Messe for the exhibition so you would need a rental car to go back and forth. the food was fine and the staff were nice but I would not want to stay here ever again unless there were no other options.

Staff was very friendly, accommodating, and went above standard service by offering to pack a snack bar since I would be checking out the next morning before the complimentary breakfast service. Restaurant staff was also very friendly even though our German language skills needed a LOT of work. Rooms were clean and spacious. I preferred my hardwood/laminate flooring instead of some that carpet. My room was on the 2nd floor on the street side and I didn’t hear any noise. My stay was in early March so unsure if it would be louder during peak season but insulation and sound proofing seemed very adequate. Amenities: free parking, WiFi, pool, sauna, fitness center Restaurant was fantastic. My coworkers and I had dinner there during our whole stay and it was the best German food I’ve ever had. My coworker is picky and gets allergic reactions and heartburn if food isn’t fresh, and she swears all of the ingredients seemed organic and fresh. Staff was very friendly and it seemed locals come to this restaurant for a nice/romantic dinner out.

Internet Zugang ist katastrophal. Obwohl es auf der Seite steht das Hotel über WLAN verfügt,es funktionierte nicht. Im Ort nicht Mal unser Netz am Handy. Personal war super, sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Angebot beim Frühstück war auch sehr gut.
