Deal is a cheerful town with good shops and many eateries. We enjoyed Walmer and Deal castles and the walking to and from. Also, the History of the Moving Image was most interesting. The Bernadette suite was spacious and well appointed. Only criticism is that I was texted too early at 7:30 the day of departure with an annoying message about checking out, thereby losing two hours of needed sleep. This is carrying automated service too far. A quiet page of instructions on the door is enough.

Great location in Deal

Great location for a stay in Deal. Lovely views, of the sea and pier. Accommodation was well equipped , so you can easily bring food in, but it is also very close to lots of pubs and restaurants. So we chose to eat out.

Exquisite

Excellent communication from the Clarendon hotel that helped make the experience so easy. We stayed in the godwin suite which had an interrupted view of the beach and pier the room felt decadent. The bath in the room allowed for a luxery feel to the night. No food or drink on site but the guest book gives some excellent recommendations and the fridge allows you to purchase drinks and drink at your leisure. All in all an excellent experience we will be returning

Great location and communication. Sea view par excellence, only thing missing is breakfast however, Nespresso machine, mini fridge and microwave compensate if you're staying more than one night and want to stock up..

It’s a pretty simple basic spot. Rooms are good size but overall quality is a bit shabby. The online checkin key system didn’t work we needed manual help. The system doesn’t work well with Expedia.

A comfortable hotel in a good location.

Very good location in Deal. A few minutes from the train station and opposite the beach. The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early as our room was ready. The room was comfortable and had good amenities.

Right on the sea front

Loved this no frills historic hotel. No fuss - just texted me door code to the room, which was all in perfect order. The hotel is just opposite Deal's beautiful beach - if you get a sea view room you'll catch the sunrise. Great work by the hotel owners - shows you can run an historic hotel in a great location but still make it affordable to all visitors
