Room access from the bottom of the doors, not good

I enjoyed my stay but I was quite interested as to why the doors have allowable access to rooms from the bottoms of the doors. The dirt and debris that may gather outside can be blown into each room throughout the day. Access can also be made by using the door openings at the bottom of the doors.
