Staff checking us in very friendly. Hotel remodeling looks great. Just EXTREMELY upset when checking out I was charged an extra $75 because of my 7lb dog. We have never been charged for him in the past at any of the hotels. We stay at the one in Fort Meyers usually. Never filled out anything to register him or approve any payment for it. The clerk just automatically charged my credit card when we were leaving.

It’s what I would expect from a Hampton Inn. Clean, quiet, great breakfast choices and ease of check in. Some upgrade construction was going on but didn’t interfere with our stay. Always a good choice for away accommodations.

I left my driver’s license at home accidentally. They would not allow me to check in. We had to get a room under my friends name and said we would just lose out on our reservation. I showed them a credit card and other documents with my name. My friend paid for the room on her card through Expedia, but they wouldn’t use her ID. We lost almost $200.

The room renovations were great. We loved the new decor. Unfortunately downstairs and the breakfast room were still a mess. However the next time we come to ride on the bike trails we will stay here. I would suggest they put in a storage room for bikes downstairs by the lobby. More people who cycle would really use it instead of bringing the bikes to there rooms.
