Beware of bait and switch!
I have been staying at La Quinta since Wednesday, August 6th. I've been extended my stay day-by-day.
This morning I went down to extend 1 more day. I was told I have a balance of $11 and some change. When I ask for what, I was told I was charged the wrong amount for last night's stay. I expressed that it was not my fault if the system charged me that. Not only was I quoted that amount, but it was what I was charged.
After he spoke with the general manager, he said that it was "simply a mistake" but if I refuse to pay it they will not be extending my stay. It's ridiculous to penalize a customer for a mistake made by their system.
I had enjoyed my stay up until today. As a business, you should not penalize the customer for your mistake. Switching the price after paying the quoted price is unacceptable.
