We were extremely disappointed with our stay, especially given the price point and the expectations set by the listing. The outdoor space was clearly neglected, overgrown and not maintained for weeks, if not longer. Although the host mentioned landscapers would be coming the day of check-in, only a quick mow was done and it was evident that no real landscaping or upkeep had been happening.The pool was another major issue. It was dirty and excessively hot (around 103). The explanation given was “Texas weather,” which didn’t make sense considering temperatures had been in the 30s just the week prior. We were told a pool technician would be coming the next day, but no one ever showed during our stay. Additionally, the skimmers appeared dry-rotted and poorly maintained. My kids did try to make the most of it. Cleanliness inside the home was also concerning. We found fresh, wet hair in the downstairs shower upon arrival, which is unacceptable at any standard. On checkout day, cleaners arrived at 11:30 while we were still inside, despite the Vrbo listing stating a 12:00 checkout. To be fair, I take responsibility for not checking the in-home information sheet, as checkout time was not clearly outlined in the info sheet I received in my inbox, I received beforehand. The listing had 12:00. We were all basically packed and were only waiting on laundry to finish. Overall, this property did not deliver on what was advertised. I would not stay here again and could not recommend.
