Curlewis is an unspoilt seaside hamlet with beautiful bird life only an hour and bit drive from Melbourne.

Our cottage provides an ideal retreat from the stress and strain of busy city living. A great relaxed getaway ideally suited to couples and small families.

Our beach is all of a 1 minute walk.

Charming, well-equipped cottage, located right on Corio Bay. Very clean, good laundry facilities, and host accessible and very helpful when our daughter was unwell. Can’t recommend highly enough!!!

We loved the cottage and the views. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We also really appreciated the quiet as we felt like we were in a remote area but only 5 minutes from the centre of Curlewis. Highly recommend.

View excellent but windows needed cleaning. Needed a deep clean and a general tidy up. We didn’t realise there was another dwelling attached to our house. Very quiet area and wasn’t aware if there were residents next door.

Quiet, quaint and quintessential. The distance to the beach is glorious. The amenities available ate wonderful. There was limited phone service which i appreciated. My girls haven't spent so much time interacting together since they wereyoung children. Many activities to keep children occupied. Comfortable beds and Tim was wonderful to deal with.

Misleading - Do not recommend

The term ‘Cottage by the Sea’ suggests a charming seaside escape, but what we found was an old and weathered building. Additionally, the lack of privacy due to an adjoining structure was unsettling.While the photos are technically of the property, they are misleading and don’t accurately reflect its true condition. The house had a persistent, unpleasant odor, as if it hadn’t been aired in a long time, which made it uncomfortable to stay indoors.In the end, we chose to stay elsewhere. We would not recommend this property.

Great little stay - perfect for local wineries (and wedding!)

We stayed here with our baby and parents and it suited our needs perfectly. Neat and tidy mostly. Comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Nice yard, quiet. Was great for two night stay for a wedding at Leura park estate.

Get away from it all

Beautiful secluded spot yet Woolworths just a few minutes away . Watch the Sprit of Tasmania sail off across the gulf .This place has a very cool seventies vibe ...a beach shack with million dollar views and beach access , my family loved it and enjoyed sitting on the deck looking over the bay on pleasant summer evenings. Tim was very responsive and ensured we had a wonderful stay . We will return . Cheers for hosting us Tim . Emily and Roger

Beautiful bay views but wouldn’t return

Host easy to communicate with. Beautiful bay views. We made nice memories . Well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils and dishes etc. Long corrugated dirt road in with very steep sharp descent at the end that I wouldn’t want to navigate in the wet. Huge spiders that were very visible. Dirty lounge room couch, rug and blankets that we didn’t feel comfortable using. Shared kitchen/laundry/bathroom wall with neighbours who were lovely but noisy dog and no privacy. Water tanker arrived early on last morning so no sleeping in! Very brackish bay water and beach that was unpleasant up close and house drains were smelly.
