La Bastide du Claus - Vitaverde, Rosemary lodging

We welcome you to our bastide, quiet in the Provençal hinterland.

The Bastide du Claus built by a squire of Louis XIV away from the small flowery village of Cruis (labeled Village and City of Character) has passed through the centuries. Its old stones welcome you under the benevolent shade of its centenary limes. Its pool of the seventeenth fed by the source of the property allows you to refresh.

You are in the heart of Haute Provence, at an altitude of 700 m at the foot of the Lure mountain, less than 10 km from the Way of Saint Jacques de Compostela linking Rome to Spain, in the country of Jean Giono. The doors of the Luberon Regional Park and its medieval villages, the regional products market of Forcalquier, the citadel of Sisteron and the valley of the Durance with multiple sporting activities are all in a radius of less than 15 km. The Baronnies Regional Park, the Verdon Park and the Haute Provence geological reserve are all nearby.
You will go on foot or by bike from the house to go for a walk or hike (and in winter, snowshoe or ski), you will visit the picturesque and colorful places of the surroundings, you will read under the old lime trees or you will not do anything! Lazing. Every night, you will observe the stars in one of Europe's purest skies, prized by astronomers.
The Bastide du Claus is also the ideal place for the organization of your yoga, Qi Gong, painting, choir rehearsals and for your business meetings in green.

Entering the bastide, you enter an old Provencal house with the charm of yesteryear, with all the comforts of today.

Our cottages 2/3 or 4/5 people classified 3 ears or 3 * each have an independent access, one or two rooms with firm and comfortable bedding, a storage space, a bathroom (shower) with scents of lavender ( with private wc), a living room, a kitchen / dining-room fully equipped (stove, oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, etc.).

Each cottage has its own terrace or garden area with sun loungers, outdoor table, umbrella. Each guest can walk in the park of more than one hectare, refresh themselves in the pool in old stones of the seventeenth century or read in the shade of century-old linden trees, respecting the calm of each. All our spaces are non-smoking.

Wifi, barbecue, washing machine and ironing board with iron are in shared access. We also have a foldable cot and baby high chair.

The cottages are rented by the week only. For more flexibility, your day of arrival may be Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on availability.
The cottages can be booked on request for a weekend or a few days off season.

The Romarin cottage is on the 1st floor, south-west of the bastide, with views south of the valley to the Alps. This is a T3 of 45 m2 for 4 people with 2 bedrooms: one with a bed of 190 x 140 cm, and the other with a bed of 190 x 140 cm. On request, possibility to add a bed of 190 x 80 cm for a fifth person.
