A short Break.

This was my second visit to The Lion. The hotel offers excellent service at a very reasonable rate. The staff are friendly and the food on offer is very good and at a very competitive price. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A Delightful Stay with Exceptional My recent stay was truly wonderful, and a significant part of that was thanks to the fantastic staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and efficiency. Check-in was seamless, and the reception team was incredibly helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a peaceful haven after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the convenience of the kitchenette in the studio apartment - a real bonus! The views of the town and castle from my window were an added treat.

It was ok

It was ok but the room was a little bit tired, and a bit cold overnight. There was a very cold draft coming in the bathroom window which wasn’t well sealed. . The restaurant closed at 3pm on a Sunday (presumably because of very low season) but we managed to find somewhere to eat nearby. Everything was clean and the staff we saw were very pleasant.

Lovely hotel, great base to explore Llyn Peninsula

We were very impressed with the Lion Hotel in Criccieth. It is in a great position with plenty of parking. It is a traditional character hotel, clean, well maintained and decorated with lovely staff. It was also great value, would recommend as a base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

Lady on checkout was lovely. The lady that checked myself in not so lovely. I complained about pressure of shower and has been noted as was due to being in the top floor room. Breakfast was lovely but the overall hotel needs a modernisation but is clean and tidy.
