Welcome to The Stargazer, our spacious log cabin in Sangre de Cristo mountains! With mesmerizing views of the San Luis valley in the West and humbling 14er peaks in the North, this house is conveniently located close to the town of Crestone. You will spend your mornings and evenings marveling at golden sunrise and sunset from the expansive wrap around deck. It is a perfect getaway for your family whether you choose to spend time at the cabin or visiting one of the many nearby attractions. NO PETS PLEASE.

This house was perfect for our family stay. We had 5 adults and lots of room to hang out. We wish we could have stayed longer. The house was fully stocked with all the necessary kitchen equipment to cook full meals, coffee supplies, and even a few snacks and drinks, left by the host. Loved the out door seating areas and the quietness of the neighborhood. The views were amazing from the 2 floor deck. The communication, check in and house instructions, with the host was through and easy. Would definitely recommend this property!!!!

We loved our stay at the Stargazer! It was exactly what we needed. The views were breathtaking—sunsets and sunrises each day and stargazing at night. We enjoyed being close to the Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls as well as the proximity to the market in Crestone. The house was well stocked with all the amenities we needed for cooking each night and lots of linens. The host was helpful and fast with responses. We cannot say enough great things and would absolutely recommend staying here!

This property has a beautiful view of the mountains and is located in very peaceful area. We were able to have a very enjoyable weekend, visiting the Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls. When we returned to the property, our family was able to sit back, eat dinner and relax without being on top of each other. The owner was very reseptive and commincation between us was easy from the time I booked, all the way to the end. I would definitely recommend this property and I look forward to maybe coming back again.

Beautiful space & appropriately named stargazer cabin!! It did not disappoint. There was plenty of room for everyone. Comfortable spaces inside and outside. Small town nearby to get supplies. It is about a hour drive to the sand dunes. Just a great time with family and friends. The hostess was very responsive.

This beautiful home was a perfect place for our day at Great sands dunes national park. It was immaculate and situated so peacefully in the woods. It was great for our trip with 4 grandchildren.

Great views!

This place had amazing views and was just what we were looking for to use as a short stay on our way home from the Ouray area and to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park before leaving Colorado back to Wisconsin. The owner answered all questions both leading up to the trip, and while staying at the house. Be prepared, there is not much of anything in the area for shops or food, but there is a dollar general 20 minutes away and a great place for food named "Food is art". They treated my family of 7 wonderfully! Walmart and other major places are about an hour away. The great sand dunes were about an hour away as well, but Crestone was the closest area with rental homes and we were not disappointed. One more tip... DO NOT WEAR SANDLES TO THE DUNES. Wear shoes and socks. The sand was hot! But so worth the trip!

Weekend in Crestone

Had a great stay with my brothers in Crestone. House was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Quick and friendly communicated from the host. Would definitely stay again! We especially appreciated the deck spaces and natural light throughout the house.

The Stargazer is aptly named- watching the stars from the upper deck, and the glorious "sangre de cristos" sunsets was heaven. The house was a wonderful base for our hiking adventures!

Because this home is well cared for and well stocked, our stay here was carefree. The area is known for its peacefulness and we felt it. The house is located about half way between the town (two grocery stores offering healthful foods) and a trailhead that begins several good hikes into the beautiful mountains that provide a beautiful view from the town and this house's deck specifically.

Great family trip

Beautiful home in the mountains. My kids loved the keyboard and the foosball table!! Perfect one hour trip to the sand dunes. If you have small kids be aware that there are about three stairs in the home without a railing (was fine for my kids aged 4+). Fun hammock as well! Thanks for sharing your home!!

Quiet location

This place is of off the beaten path. It is located an hour from Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was clean, quiet and well kept. It was a little warm when we arrived considering it doesnt have a/c. There were not many restaurants to choose from in the area. Overall I would recommend.
