This is a quaint little place to stay. No frills, your room is above the feed store. I absolutely loved it. There are two restaurants that are a 2 minute walk from your room. There are also a few little stores for local crafts and souvenirs. It is about a 4 mile drive to Needle Rock and about 20 minutes to get to Black Canyon of the Gunnerson North Rim drive.

Just what we needed

The check-in process was excellent and the proprietors were so friendly. We found the bed very comfortable. The location was close to our event and the area is quiet and beautiful. Other guests were courteous while we were there.

Cherri and Dale, the owners, are exceptionally nice and caring hosts of this fun, out-of-the-way lodging in an exceptionally nifty little town. Or, if you're just looking for a shower or a laundromat or a fully-stocked hardware and fishing equipment store, this is also the place.

I loved the laidback, quiet, beautiful small town and surroundings. I loved my daily drive to Paonia where I was taking a course at SEI. I loved the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the ranches in the region and Needle Rock. I enjoyed coffee at Lazy J every morning and I enjoyed the vibes at North Fork Boardwalk. I enjoyed talking to the host, Cherrie.

Very unique hotel in the middle of CO. Close to Gunnison National Park upper rim. Across street from musician Joe Cocker burial site. Staff was very nice and helpful with giving interesting ideas to see and do. Away from the noise and busel of city life. A simple gem.

Unique experience - staying at a feed store/laundry mat/hotel. Although rooms were upstairs (as viewed from the front) the parking in the rear was room level so didn't have to walk up any stairs. No ice machine.

Historic Gem in Crawford

Cherrie and Dale are just the best! Incredibly caring and nice. They have created a little slice of heaven. Beautiful, historic building thoughtfully reimagined. We had a perfect stay and look forward to returning. Thank you.

First time in Crawford and this was a great stay! Boyfriend is from the neighboring area and we were coming up from Denver for an overnight visit. The owner Cherri was just amazing with check in and very friendly! The other two employees of the store were also just as friendly. The room is simple but nice and very clean. Perfect for an overnight stay after running around town all day and getting a good nights rest. Bed was super comfy and comfortable as well. The shower was really nice too (glass door, corner shelving). If we ever come back to the western slope, we will definitely come and stay here! Thank you!
