The ad in lastminutes does not clearly state the amenities available. The room I book has nothing except a bed. It is not possible to survive the night without wondering in the dark for amenities. I have booked two rooms and cannot be refunded. Just wonder how can one know about the actual situation before arriving unless you have more info about the actual situation and connection with public amenities. It is the worst situation for older couples like us. We therefore tried to shop around the mountain for another better location and spend the night there. Still hope to get some refund anyway.

We stayed in a cabin at Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain and were really disappointed. For the price, we expected something clean, comfortable and at least moderately maintained. Instead, the cabin felt run down and badly in need of a full renovation. Fixtures were worn, the interior looked tired, and the whole place gave off a neglected vibe. The location is great and the staff were friendly enough, but the accommodation itself simply doesn’t justify the cost. With a bit of investment and care, this could be a much better experience — but right now, it’s not worth the money.

Super cold in the room! The small space heater definitely wasnt enough to heat the entire cabin. The wall heater never heated up. The fireplace was not according to code (they put up a sign) so they disconnected it. If this was in the US it would have been shut down already - it’s a health hazard. Then, their check in window is only 2-5pm - what kind of hotel has a 3 hour window for check in? They then require you to come back the next morning to complete check in if you missed that window as if we have all the time in the world on our vacation to deal with hotel stuff. Seriously if I had known I would have paid more to stay at a better location in the area
