This hotel far exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. Staff were top notch, beds super comfortable, and showers (pressure, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) were awesome! We certainly appreciated the free shuttle to the John Wayne Airport as well.

Ayres hotel is top of the line. With its beautiful interior, histoeical portraits, stylish decore and model turn of rhe century ships displayed throughout the property, is like a museum but not at extravagant prices. Every angle of the hotel is a delight. It is Central, and it is a destination we continue to return to year after year.

Very noisy room!

This place looks nice, but It near John Wayne airport and the planes that take off in the evening go right over this place. Very noisy engine noise. Also, I had very weak water presure in the bathroom sink.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Very comfortable! We enjoyed the on-site restaurant and the courtyard garden. We also enjoyed looking at the historical sailing photos and the model ships throughout the hotel.

This property is very unique. A comfortable experience. So many places to sit, whether you are with friends chatting, working or just want to take in the decor. From fire places to the fountain. The restaurant is so cool. The pool and gym were great, everything is always super clean! A very friendly and professional staff. Having food and store options walkable was also very convenient.
