SONGBIRD OF THE MOUNTAIN! Mountain Top Luxury Cabin with privacy! 7 min to GSMNP

Named after the sweet sounds of nature you'll hear from all around when you stay at this cabin, Songbird Of The Mountain is a lovely little cabin with some memorable features that can make for a great romantic getaway, a vacation with a small family or group of friends, a personal retreat, fishing trip or something else you'd have in mind (for a maximum of 4 people, mind you).

This is a custom-designed 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with million dollar views all around the cabin (that you can magnify even further with our on-site telescope!). The main floor has the living room, a dining area, a kitchen, the master bedroom and a big covered deck looking out the back. The living room is cozy and sweet with a 6-seat dining table nearby, an HDTV suspended over a fireplace, and cable/satellite TV and high speed wireless internet. The kitchen is a good size with everything needed for any meal of the day, including holiday meals. Amenities here include microwave, toaster, coffee maker, oven, stove and cookware.

Going up a lovely spiral staircase is the second bedroom right under the A-frame ceiling that has a heart-shaped jacuzzi tub. It has its own private deck looking out miles over the Smokies as well.

This cabin is pet-friendly.

NOTE: An outdoor fireplace that was previously available with this cabin has been removed.

Thai cabin was so relaxing and quiet. Nothing beats waking up in the morning to a sunrise over the mountains or an evening after hiking sitting in a top watching the light fade from the mountain tops. Wonderful stay!

This is an excellent pet friendly property with absolutely amazing views and a hot tub that can be enjoyed no matter how cold it gets. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting a PRIVATE mountainside getaway within earshot of Gatlinburg and the Smokies. I'm an engineer so to give anything a perfect review is tough. The few notes I have on this place, which would in no way prevent me from rebooking it, are not having explicit instructions for the property i.e. fireplace use, hot tub use, TV use etc. The TV use may sound a silly one, but there was like 5 remotes...I drive a car with 230k miles and was able to get up the road just fine. There's about a 1/8 acre of yard for the dogs. There's only one house further up the road above this one and I suspect it's mostly vacant (we didn't see anyone the whole week), so it's very private. Buzzards Roost was an amazing hike a short drive from here. The local markets are nothing special but the local taco truck is amazing and the local book store, Our Place, is a must stop early in your trip. All-in-all, very happy with our stay. Wish we had a few more days to just enjoy the house/location instead of being always on the go.

The cabin was great and the kitchen well appointed. Everything was very clean and in working condition. The only negative is the road leading up to the cabin. It’s gravel and very steep. Our front wheel drive vehicle couldn’t make it up when it was fully loaded with humans and our stuff. We literally drove in reverse.

My husband and I were disappointed once we arrived to our cabin. The pictures online did not represent the current condition of the cabin.The bed was uncomfortable and it hurt my husband’s back so much that we came home a day early. The shower curtain liners need to be replaced as they had rips in them. There were numerous cobwebs throughout the inside of the cabin. The outside and inside of the cabin definitely needs some TLC. The cabin was stocked with various cooking items.My husband and I enjoyed our time in Tennessee but not our time at the cabin.

On top of the Smokies

Very clean inside and outside . Worth the money. My wife and myself set on deck for hours looking at the Smokies. We allso enjoyed the way the full moon shined across the mountains. Very humbling.

Great central place to stay for us for hiking with our dog in the Cherokee Mountains, ziplining, white water rafting, and going to Gatlinburg for a day. Stay was excellent and views from decks were outstanding.

As a few other reviews have mentioned, the drive up to the cabin can be a bit challenging due to the steep, dug-out gravel road. My SUV spun out on the first attempt, and it can feel a little nerve-wracking knowing only one car can go up or down at a time. The surrounding area wasn’t the nicest, but that’s not something I hold against the property itself.Inside, we noticed a steep staircase leading down to the laundry room, which we chose not to use. Thankfully, there was a baby gate at the top for safety.That said, waking up to the mountain views was absolutely amazing! While the bedding wasn’t the softest, the cabin was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the checkout instructions made things incredibly easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay
