Casetta i Ciliegi is an old stone house that has been skilfully renovated and is located in an extremely panoramic position, 750 m above sea level, and is part of the tiny hamlet of Cantalena Alta. Casetta i Ciliegi is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life and be in close contact with nature. Green woods, steep hills and cultivated countryside frame this beautiful house with a large, fully-fenced outdoor area where you can relax in the beautiful private swimming pool (size 7x4 mt, depth 1.20-1.50 mt - open from 01st May to 30th September) and in the porch furnished with table, chairs and barbecue.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).

The beautiful town of Cortona, with its stone alleys, Rugapiana and the Church of Santa Margherita, and the medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino are both about 15 km away and have all the necessary shops and services. Casetta i Ciliegi can be reached via a scenic mountain road that is partly unpaved (about 4 km), not recommended for sports cars. Especially the first time it may be a little difficult, but once you get there you will understand that it is worth making a little effort to admire such a beautiful view. The furnishings are simple but comfortable and match the characteristics of the house.

Eine perfekte Einsamkeit - ein Haus einfach nur um abzuschalten

Das Haus ist in der Tat exakt so wie beschrieben - wer Italien und insbesondere die Toskana liebt - wird hier eine sehr schöne Zeit verbringen. Es liegt einsam, man kann einfach nur abschalten. Ein Rustiko an einsamer Stelle, aber so exponiert, dass man die Natur und einen genialen Ausblick genießen kann. Viel mehr Privatsphäre als dort ist nicht möglich. Wichtig ist aber auch, dass das Haus trotz alter Substanz, einer charmanter Möbelierung, manchmal ein wenig kitschig, alles wesentliche für den täglichen Gebrauch vorhält. Wer hier Urlaub verbringt, braucht eigentlich fast nichts mitbringen: Küche fast komplett, TV-Entertainment mit deutschem TV, Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, viele Handtüchter, sogar für den Pool, ... Ganz wichtig für uns: das Garten ist in der Tat vollständig umzäunt, ein Hund kann dort eigentlich nicht weglaufen. Wir laufen viel mit unserem Hund, aber der war durch seine Bewegung im Garten alleine bereits "müde". Korrekt ist in der Beschreibungen auch, dass man das Haus mit tiefergelegten Autos nicht anfahren kann. Die Zufahrt bis zur Hauptstraße ist mindestens 3,9km eine Schotterpiste mit sehr groben Steinen, die sich allerdings mit einem normalen Auto durchaus noch bewerkstelligen läßt. Für wen würden wir das Haus empfehlen? Familien mit Kindern, die mit Pool und Garten happy sind. Paaren, die die perfekte Einsamkeit suchen. Hundebesitzern - man kann ganz nett vom Haus aus loslaufen. Man muß berücksichtigen, dass man bis zur Hauptstraße rund 15 Minuten benötigt. Danach weitere 10-15 Minuten bis zur Stadt. Einkehrmöglichkeiten sind bis dahin im Sommer ein paar, in der Nachsaison keine. Aber Kochen und Grillen macht auch sehr viel Spaß. Dieses Haus ist für uns eine klare Empfehlung.
