About The Cabin: Little Elbow is a beautiful two bedroom one bathroom cabin set on the shores of Elbow Lake. It has a very nice private deck that overlooks the water just feet away. The two bedrooms have one queen and two twin beds. It features a full kitchen with separate dining area. The living room is spacious with couches all around, a fireplace and breathtaking views of Elbow Lake. The kitchen comes with a stove, range, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and all of the dishware, silverware, pots, pans and utensils you'll need to make this your home during your stay. Linens and towels are also provided.

About The Resort: 83 years of history. Established in 1930 on 1,700 acre Elbow Lake in northern Minnesota. Elbow Lake Lodge has solidified its presence within the serenity of the Minnesota wilderness. Situated in Kabetogama State Park, the lodge has always been a destination for travelers and families looking to escape the lights and congestion of the metro area. Perfect for fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking and hiking, visitors come to be part of the outdoors.


Enjoy 800ft of sandy beachfront, pedal boats, paddle boards, kayaks, on-site mini-golf, playground, camp fire-pits, and a marina with fishing boat and pontoon rentals. Outdoor family fun abounds at Elbow Lake Lodge. The main lodge amenities include a bar, ice cream counter, sauna, and a recreation lounge with ping pong, foosball table, movie screen, board games and fireplace. The place was as advertised. It had obviously been cleaned prior to check-in, but not deep cleaned anytime recently. The curtains were extremely dusty, the fans had dust on them, and behind the beds had a visible layer of dust. A good spring cleaning would definitely make this a much better stay. The racks in the oven don't fit the oven well, so beware of placing anything with any weight to it on the rack - it will fall, rack included, to the bottom of the oven. As a family who cooks all of our meals, that made things really difficult. Overall a decent stay. It's close to plenty of stores, and the entrance to Banff is right around the corner. The host was thorough and responsive. Check-in and check-out were easy. If someone did a good deep clean to get rid of all of the dust and fixed the oven rack situation, we'd give it a 5-star. Definitely a cost effective place to stay if you're looking to visit Banff!

Great little spot

We spent an awesome few days at Elbow Lake. We loved being right on the lake with beach access. My boys LOVED the kayaks and paddle boat!
