the picture is deceiving. The place is a run down motel. The pool is a swamp with algae floating. Everything in the hotel is old and shows severe signs of wear and tear. The power went out during our stay and the frond desk just lock up and left for the night because of power outage. DO NOT STAY AT SCP. Don't waste your money.

BUT bed sheets were dirty, bathroom was not super clean, coffee was room-temperature, breakfast didn't have a single protein option, AC is super noisy, the apartment door bumps every time the AC runs waking you up during the night several times, and the water from the water fountain tastes horrible.

Buyer Beware

The place initially looks pretty sketchy. Once we entered the lobby it was clean and cozy. Front desk was super friendly. I started to have high hopes for this place. My daughter tried to take a shower the night we got there and said there was NO HOT water. I was like ok. Maybe she was being a little dramatic. NOPE!!’ I let the shower run full hot for a full 30 mins plus and it was barely warm to touch. No way could we shower before her meet that was at 7:30am. On top of that the outlet in the bathroom did NOT work. If you hit the reset it just snapped back off. No power to outlet and obviously something is not right with the electrical aspect of the outlet. The bathroom also has no real privacy. Luckily we were all family but if you weren’t, it could be very awkward. No fan in bathroom and the sliding barn door has no lock. We also were kept awake most of the night due to a bunch of cars doing burn outs in the empty parking lot across from the hotel all night long! I would also say this place does not really serve breakfast. Only yogurt and some muffins. Coffee but no cups to go have to drink it in the main lobby with glass cups. So bring your own cup. They did offer a lot of fun little games and a small bar. There is no restaurant. I felt like the reviews did not reflect honestly the place. This place had a 3.5 star rating. It was not a 3 star motel.

Overall the property and room was exactly how the listing promoted it. The only bit of feedback I have is regarding my room. The heater worked but VERY slowly. Took almost 2 days for the room to “heat up”. I was in socks, a sweater and sweatpants the entire time in the room. The rooms lock was also a bit loose. It locked fine, but if the door was pushed on the door would shift/open about 1/2 inch or so. All in all was pleased with the property and staff with it being my first time visiting CO Springs.
