The owners were so gracious with us. The batteries in the lock on the door died, and we had to call them late for help getting in. They came so quickly and helped us, and I really appreciated it. They changed the batteries right away, even helped the kids carry suitcases. So nice! The kids loved having their own rooms, and the space was so perfect.

Last minute booking

The location we had originally booked canceled our reservation due to selling property and issues with plumbing. Upon searching for something close we stumbled across this amazing property. Granted its not on the water like the place we originally had, but this location slept more people, was large, had 2 bathrooms, a cleaning room for fish, a huge kitchen, was decorated very nicely with outdoor theme, and the owners were very accommodating, easy to work with and fast to respond. Parking was a little tricky with 3 vehicles and boat trailers but we managed and was only a short drive to the water. Very clean, nicely kept up property. We will stay here again

Comfortable stay. There was an issue with the code not working but the host was able to go unlock the door. By the time we got back from dinner we were able to get in and unpacked. Host was checking on why the code wouldn’t work as it should. Not an issue with host. Code should have worked

Cochrane Lodge

Great place for our ice fishing trip to the Mississippi River. Can’t beat this lodge in terms of meeting our needs and location. Owners are very responsive when questions came up. Would highly recommend.

I had the impression when booking that it was a stand alone residence not a 2nd floor apartment. I missed that somehow though it did say there were steps. Very nice hunting cabin motif. Didn't find any dining options nearby except bar food. We were in the area for a wedding so I was disappointed there weren't any places to hang our clothes overnight to help remove the travel look from them except for some coat racks. Overall it was better for an informal family get together place for the weekend than a hotel suite would have been. ETA: if you want to plug in for internet, all the CAT5 ports are about 6' off the floor and not near any type of desk or other workstation site. Just bring a long cable if you want better security than wifi offers.

Perfect Fishing Getaway

We had a family from newborn to 74 years old and every age in between. We loved having a warm dry place to come back to after fishing the Alma float all day. Amazing fish cleaning station and all the necessities to dry up our catch. We would definitely stay here again.
