This was an unfortunately absolutely terrible experience all-around. I booked easily, and everything was going according to plan. The evening my coworker and I were set to arrive, we experienced a flight delay and I called the hotel to ensure I could still check-in if arriving after Midnight. I was told they would Check me in early, no worries, and received an email confirmation of check-in. By the time we had finals made it to the hotel, we were told we couldn’t get keys or check-in, the manager who had helped us had lied, and we wouldn’t be able to check-in the following day. I am out one night’s stay for following their policy, very disappointing from this Crowne Plaza and IHG. This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel with some complications.

If I can recommend you do anything before you stay here, it is to call ahead and make sure you have a room. Myself and a lot of other people showed up yesterday to check in and the staff said they oversold the hotel by a large number. People traveling were stranded with no transportation or options. I was fortune to have my vehicle and drove 1/2 hour away and found another hotel

Our room didn’t have a lock on it, there was mold on the wall by the windows, there was holes on the bed frame. The lobby was dirty, overflowing garbage that was not being cleaned. The staff at the lobby desk didn’t know a thing about how breakfast worked for the guests. The hallways smelled like marijuana, the elevator wasn’t working, the bathroom was dirty, our room didn’t seem like it was cleaned. Very poor hygiene overall

Cold air was coming in through the exterior doors and door frames of the rooms. The second room had the same issue. We were only able to sleep in a third room at around 3:00 a.m. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The bathroom only had two hand towels and one washcloth. My requests for full sized bath towels were ignored. The room itself smelled musty, and there were stains on the curtains and walls. I had to scrub a medium sized yellow spot out of the bottom of the bathtub. When I left to check out, the elevator smelled like weed.

This was genuinely a terrible experience. The place wreaked of marijuana smell… the doors literally would closed shut, and the key had to be reprogrammed three times only resulting in the maintenance guy literally taking a crow-bar to the lock to let me into the room. This place truly sucks.

The main reason for booking this hotel was for my kids to swim. The website didn’t indicate the pool was closed, telephone number was wrong so I couldn’t confirm and I was not told this at check-in. Don’t stay the night but still charged full price. Refund request was not responded to.
