Better and better
At first glance this apartment seemed inconvenient and awkward, but this impression was completely wrong.
The apartment is outside of town on the edge of a semi industrial area, but in fact it is in a suburban area an easy 12 minute walk along quiet streets to the heart of town, and even less time to expansive supermarkets. (There are busy streets too, but they are easily avoided).
The greatest treasure of the apartment, however, is the hosts book of suggestions. Every Italian is better informed than an outsider about their own region, and she has placed her suggestions for restaurants and outings for all kinds of visitors; we used them to pick places to eat and to confirm our own prior plans. Her recommendations are excellent.
I personally recommend mountain hikes alpine dairy (malga) meals as well as swimming in the local rivers.
Oh, and as we were told before arriving: "eat the frico"
PS the appliances all worked well and the air conditioning was awesome!
