Definitely served it's purpose. Not fancy, but we weren't looking for fancy. Everything was as advertised and the staff was very, very kind and helpful. I would stay there again.

Initial impression of the hotel was that it was shabby, deserted and run down. Arrived at hotel to check in around 5pm and was told that my reservation had been cancelled because the card on file for booking had already been ran prior to my arrival and they were not able to charge my arrival. When I asked for the reservation to be reinstated they insisted they would not do and proceeded to offer me the same/similar style room for double the price that I booked it for.

Requested a wake up call as we had an early morning graduation, thankfully I set extra alarms on my phone since the front desk staff that checked me in never set it up for us the wake up call. The room was fine, the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there were people talking in the halls and going in and out of rooms all night which made our dogs bark and we didn't get much sleep. Not sure why so much activity but the last group we heard was at 3:45 and we needed to get up at 5:45 to get back on the road so it wasn't really a restful time for us.
