The facility was very nice; the buffet breakfast was excellent. However, both Hotels.com and the Kirkwood Inn charged me for our room, and neither has been willing to admit their mistake and issue me a refund. I will apparently have to dispute both charges through Capital One in order to avoid being double-billed. I will not stay at the Kirkwood Inn again and do not plan to book any travel through Hotels.com in the future.

I would never stay there again. I tried calling to let them know we were arriving late and no one answered. I had a question about our billing after we departed. I called and no one answered. I sent an email to the email address on their web site and no one replied. I contacted Expedia to get help to get an issue resolved and they were unable to get anyone to answer the phone and address the issue.

When I arrived with my reservation the hotel told me they didn’t have any more rooms . They did not call me to let me know, and offered no explanation for giving my reserved room to someone else. We were left with no where to stay for the night.

Kirkwood Inn 5/9/25

There were two floors at the Inn. We stayed on the second floor. Note: there was no elevator to get up to the second floor, so if you're handicapped, you need to ask for a first floor room.
Single queen - comfortable bed
There was a quaint path to walk along that we enjoyed.
Excellent breakfast. Eggs, sausage, corned beef hash, oatmeal, cereal, and lots of amenities.

This was a very friendly and unique place to stay. The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! The Inn is much different than other places we have stayed. One of the biggest differences is that it's family owned. The family was very friendly and so were all the staff that we met. They were genuinely interested in why we were visiting.

Quaint small motel reminiscent of travelers from the 1950, however the connection to the historic inn next door and the fresh and vibrate breakfastoffering and delightful staff push this over the top. Great experience

It was a really old inn that still used a physical key and registration card instead of a card key and online registration. However, it was super clean and bed was comfy. Such a quiet place. Front desk was super friendly and welcoming. Even my grumpy teenager liked it. Breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay.
