Hot, humid, and moldy

We had 2 rooms with double queen beds. The room on the 1st floor was fine. The second room (#218) had an active leak in the bathroom above the toilet from the room above. When we opened the bathroom door there was a pool of water around the toilet and black mold on the ceiling where the leaking was happening. We ended up having to call the front desk from our cell phones because the room phone didn't work. The woman behind the desk was not particularly helpful then. She said she would need to talk to a manager and then gave us no plan of action. We ended up going down to the lobby to talk to her again, and while we were down there she finally tried calling the manager instead of chatting to her friend in the lobby to see if we could get a different room. They were out of rooms with double beds and said they would put us in a king suite (#211). Come to find out that room did not have a working air conditioning system. It was in the upper '80s low '90s outside. When we first went in it was warm and very humid, but we assumed maybe the door between the two rooms of the suites have been closed, so the air didn't properly circulate. When we got back from dinner we learned the AC problem was a known issue as another couple who was in the elevator with us had that room previously and got moved out of that room due to the AC issue. Eventually they brought us a box fan for the night, but that did little to actually cool the room.

The property smelled good upon arrival. The lobby was clean. Our room smelled of mildew. The bed had some kind of stains on the side of the sheets. Crates and towels was outside. Some young lady comes out her room with bluetooth speaker extra loud and her large dog and no lease. I was very worried how the night would go there. I was only there 20 mins max and checked out

The outside grounds were dirty. A lot of trash in parking lot and surrounding grounds. One person receptionist not friendly and absent from desk for over 10 min upon arrived. Observed her in her vehicle in parking lot upon arrival.

Nasty and never again.

Air conditioning did not work properly. The carpet was soaked from the air conditioner dripping in the room. Coffee cup lids were dirty and had hair in them. Window frames were filthy. Shower head looks like it never gets cleaned. Bedding was dirty. Couldn’t sleep from hearing all the noise from the other rooms all night long. Chair in the room was filthy.

I never do reviews, but this time it was too much. Hard to reach, no sign in the street. Just a banner. Newly renovated, you can still smell the paint in the corridors. Room in good shape, OK and clean. AC not too noisy like in many places. Bathroom too, although shower holder was 1 day away from breaking. Manager was advised, did nothing. Pool not working, but that's not unusual these days. Breakfast lower than average quality, coffee and and all beverages tasteless (too much water of course), hot water for tea not even warm, nothing was replaced unless requested. WIFI.....sucks. At least in our room, none of the 3 phones could get signal, and for the computer it was like a roller coaster, up and down, every minute. They have 3 different networks depending on the distance to the lobby. We got the worst and most unstable. Room service: this I've never seen before, they cleaned the bathroom and removed the thrash, but didn't do the beds....maybe only after request? Maybe I'm asking too much for 75 + tax a night?

The stay was fine, however, our window overlooked a housing(Homes) community. Also, someone in another room was smoking and stunk up our bathroom. An employee came up to investigate. Other than that, the stay was good.
