We really enjoyed Farah, the guest entertainment coordinator. She was amazing, turning a substandard trip into a great adventure. Farah was the best. Edmond was really nice and the most helpful leader there. Cole at the poolside bar and grill is an amazing cook. Try his fish sandwich, thank me later. The drinks were good and the food was not bad at all. What we didn't like: The property is not well cared for. We had to move to three different rooms in three nights. The first room, the balcony door had rotted and would not close and the air condition was malfunctioning and would not turn down or off. The second was below a noisy guest and the front desk security couldn't get them to stop. The third room was covered in bugs. The entire front entrance and bathroom was covered. The casino was under construction and depressing. If we were to go back, it would only be for Farah!

There was nothing to like about this property! Olathe pictures on Experdia must be from 1999 when it opened. The hotel is run down, no maintenance done or unkept. The food and service was horrible. We sat at the outside hut bar/grill and in 2 hrs. only got 1 of our “all-inclusive” drinks. We were ignored by staff, the smell from the Seagassum Seaweed was like raw sewer and dead fish. We were not notified ahead of time about this. There was no going in the water, no snorkeling, no beach, no kayaking, no snorkeling with the turtles, the shore out to the water was this disgusting Seagassum about 30 ft. out. Then they tried scooping it up with equipment and putting it in dumpsters behind the hotel. Like what did that do but make it stink more…you still couldn’t swim. One restaurant is only open M, W, F and the other restaurant had limited times leaving you with little food choice but at the hut bar/grill where they only served a few items and you couldn’t get drinks. We left after 1 day and will never go back!

The view is great! Dorian the Bartender by the pool was very personable and helpful. We did not like the smelly seaweed. We were unable to go in the water at the beach. There was not very many options for meals, we ate at the same place 3 times. Overall stay was okay.

I loved how friendly and attentive the staff was! Scott the bartender got to know you and was fun to talk with. Wanda was phenomenal. Aisha was fun.. and Edmond tthe driver. Ryder at the casino was great. Jonathan at the desk was extremely informative. The seaweed was thick so they shuttled us to another beach... absolute amazing trip and WILL go again.

It’s not really fair to give a review, it was off season, seaweed season, and time to conduct maintenance and renovations. We had a beach but the seaweed kept us out of the water. It was quiet but an isolated property. We did not use the Casino.

The pool bartender was great. Could not use the beach seaweed all over the beach. All inclusive was not really all inclusive. Only certain hour are available and the Casino is not a part of the resort. A lot of false advertising.

Sad thing is we can’t fit it all in here but avoid this place! Property was not cared for overall. Both of the gym's treadmills were broken and there were dead bugs on the floor. The bathroom in the gym appeared to have not been cleaned for some time as the trash can was filled. I did tell the Front Desk about the treadmills but this should have been known to the staff. The property lacked proper landscape management. The palm trees needed to be trimmed of dead palms, the grass needed to be cut. There were weeds on the beach even! In one day alone two umbrellas were removed because they were broken. They were not replaced. We were next to an umbrella that was partially apart for several hours. A worker, who had been on the pool deck all day, did not fix it for at least 4 hours. Lack of care/awareness. We dubbed the “hot” tub the cold tub. An employee noticed one of the guests trying to activate it and was told that they were working on getting it fixed. Dirty- trash cans were not emptied on a regular basis around the pool area. The rock outfall on the beach adjacent to the pool deck was littered with trash- mostly beer cans, but also some construction material including what looked to be a pole of some sort wrapped in concrete. The mini-golf had no clubs available and had standing water at the various holes that presumably once had clean water or rock of some sort.

This is not a resort. No accessibilities or elevator for guest, when it's advertised. No assistance with luggage. Limited food options. Hot water doesn't always work. Rusted fixtures in the Bathrms & Bed room. They close the main eating restaurant (breakfast & dinner only), when they open their only 1 specialty reservation restaurant-3 days a week. They expect guest to eat dinner @ pool bar! You get different responses from employees on the same question. It's like nobody is trained. Beach is not accessible with literality a wall of seaweed that comes to shore. The smell from the wall of seaweed can be nauseating, more so when the worker attempts to clean it with a mini tractor. Only 1 pool is available, I was told the 2nd pool has been under construction for 2yrs now. Note that Casino and fitness is not within the hotel, it's 5 min walk across or you can ask for a ride in golf cart. Again you find this info out by asking multiple workers. More than one occasion we were told food on the menu was not available. Didn't have, simple things, chicken, lemonade, cream for coffee. They list craft activities, then they don't have the supplies. I did speak to management, and all I got was an apology. Not sure how this resort is still opened. Limited staff onsite and many did say they were fairly new. One person I do give credit to is Farah (Guide into town),met her through another guest. In my opinion $$ is not worth it. Was told only half of the rooms have been renovated.

The hotel staff was not the best with cleaning the rooms. I requested more tissue and was told “we had to come down and get it.” The room wasn’t cleaned until requested on the last day of our stay. The jacuzzi wasn’t working and one of the bars was only open the first day we arrived. The activities that are listed as included weren’t available either. Overall the trip was what me made it and spent a a lot of time elsewhere opposed to relaxing at the resort. It is also a little far out for finding other restaurants and activities. Definitely need a rental car.
