The building is a SLIVER of a property inside and out. The overall tight space, doesn't translate on their site photos. It was uncomfortable as someone who is claustrophobic. The entire property is clean and felt safe tho. The lobby is comfortable and cute. Elevators are slow, small and only allow 5 people at a time. 5 people with no luggage, mind you. Vending/ice/laundry on only one floor. This wasn't much of an issue because we got ice during light elevator traffic times. This hotel is two blocks away from a hospital. Our 1st nite was horrifically sleepless because sirens went by every 20 minutes. By some miracle there was only one the 2nd night. Our window was not permanently closed, that allowed sound to come thru more. With the exception of our 2nd nite, I don't exaggerate when I say you will hear sirens all day and possibly all nite here. The valet runners were wonderful but it's expensive. We used it our first 24 hrs. On our 2nd night I used the iParkit garage just a 30 second walk across the street. Overall we made due with the discomfort (life experiences, ha!) The staff was friendly, kind and attentive so that made up for a lot. The location was fantastic for going out and walking and doing touristy things. I cant say I recommend this hotel, I wouldn't stay here again. If you're not sensitive to small spaces or excessive noise this might be ok for you. No hate for Hotel St. Clair, just not for us. Peace!
