Pretty awful hotel

We stayed for three nights so that we could see our son graduate from boot camp. We normally stay in high end hotels, so we didn’t have huge expectations for this one. Sadly, the Sonesta dropped well below our low expectations. Within the first day the elevator broke down and was never fixed while we were there. Since we were on the third floor with my elderly parents, this definitely impacted our trip. Then on our last night the hot water broke. We all had to take ice cold showers on our last day. Overall the hotel experience was truly terrible. The one thing that redeemed it all was the incredible staff. They were so friendly and kind and made our crappy stay so very bearable.

Highly recommend, Navy base close by

It was a cute, clean and conveniently located hotel stay with amazing amenities like laundry, appliance borrowing and even a small gym available. Plenty of parking! I even noticed its pet friendly and has a cute small outdoor patio on the side of the building. The room was clean and have no complaints. This is a perfect place to stay for Navy graduation. About 7 minutes away from the Great Lakes base. Loved our stay here.

Pleasantly surprised

Sometimes you don't know what to expect when staying at a hotel for the first time. The pictures always look nice but then you get there and things can be a little sketchy. I was pleasantly surprised as was my wife at the condition of the property, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall experience that we had. This is a very well maintained facility and we had a nice stay even though it was a short one. We will definitely be staying at this property again when we visit relatives in the area.

Arrived about 3:50 PM and was told that I would not be able to get into the room until 4 o’clock. While I recognize the reservation is at 4 o’clock. The hotel clearly had rooms. When I went to the room, there were numerous trash bags and laundry piles in the hallway outside of rooms that had still not been taken away.

The property is very dated. Carpeting was old and dirty. There was a used washing cloth up on the bathroom vanity. Cakes toothpaste in the sink. I booked the hotel since it was rated a 9.0. Truthfully it should be rated at around 6.0

Service at the front desk was amazing. The guy who checked us in was kind and very helpful. The room was okay. There were no linens for the pullout, which was a super thin mattress even just for our kid. It appears they have tried to update the air conditioner but it was not done well, with a large gap in the connection to the bedroom, making the bedroom very hot at night. The room could have been better cleaned. Dishes were left in the dishwasher, uncertain if they were cleaned or just stained. The vent in the bathroom was thick with dust that needed to be cleaned. The stay was fine for what we needed but the room could use some more attention.

It was decent for the price . Very nice kitchen area however the room was not clean up to standard. There was dust everywhere and dirty towels . Over all not a bad stay but the cleanliness could be much better .

Everything! It was close enough to the Navy base, Walmart and restaurants! The room was clean. The only thing is it still smells brand new and slight pet order. Nothing too serious! Overall a perfect place to stay!

First room was dirty and lights didn’t work. It wasn’t even clean. We saw other peoples belongings in the room. We went to the 2nd room which was better but the futon had stains all over it. Was absolutely disgusting. The smell was horrible. Mildew carpet, and stale cigg smell Carpet nasty asf! The furniture was beat TF up. Stains on the walls. I was disappointed.
