A MESS, go somewhere else

We came in at about 10p on a Wednesday to a massive line that took quite a while to get through for check-in but remained hopeful. We had splurged extra to reserve a balcony room but were not given one; still charged for one. It was 76 degrees in there and the thermostat wouldn’t kick on. We left at 4am the following morning and returned within the hour due to a cancelled flight. I explained it to the front desk, and they refused to give us the room back. I offered to pay for another night and they said no, they were overbooked (obviously nobody was in our room, it wasn’t even close to check-out). I get on hotels.com to find a replacement and what do you know, there were plenty of rooms open at the same Hyatt for the following night like I had requested. People were also sleeping in the lobby??
