Nice hotel but service lacking in areas

Beautiful room, excellent breakfast, ideal location. I did request an extra blanket which was delivered promptly but upon unfolding it I discovered it was stiff and had visible dirt on it. They delivered a clean one when requested. Only other complaint, my 24 year old son, who was also staying at the hotel, was waiting for me in the lobby. He went to the front desk to ask where a restroom was located and they told him they didn’t have one in the lobby area. I asked where the restrooms were in the lobby area and they pointed me right to them. Disappointing.

Lovely stay. Breakfast was really busy. All the hotel staff I encountered were nice. The room actually has blackout curtains! First hotel I've stayed at this year that allowed me to sleep in total darkness. Rooftop bar is cool. My only negative is the hotel clientele is not so desirable.

This hotel impressed us with its beautiful design – stylish, modern, and very comfortable. Everywhere felt thoughtfully decorated, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The breakfast was outstanding! A wide variety of fresh and tasty options, from hot dishes to pastries, fruits, and juices. Everything was high quality and made mornings something to look forward to. A perfect stay combining great design with an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended!

Nice Hotel but definitely NOT 4-star. Having just come from a 4 star in Seattle - I found the hotel lacking. No room service, no robe, underwhelming amenities and a breakfast though good, reminded me of a cafeteria from school.

The problem I had was when I went to use the iron, It was leaking on my shirt. Plus the iron was locked to the ironing board so it was impossible to fill up the iron with water. Also, I was given an accessible room when I did not request one.

3 Day visit

A 3 day stay re-visiting Chicago was greatly enhanced by RIU Plaza Chicago. Beautifully deisgned proprerty in a great near north Michigan Avenue location. Very comfortable rooms and an exceptional breakfast included.
