This place was convenient for quick and easy visits to Indiana Dunes, which is why we chose it. However, the room smelled like it had been closed up for a while when we arrived. It got better when we turned the air conditioning to a cooler setting. The rooms are older but as expected. Unfortunately there was some construction or maintenance going on while we were there, literally right outside our exterior patio door and banging that had the wall decor shaking. The noise and chatter started around 8 am and lasted most of the day. Now, i understand these things happen but usually the hotels pre-warn you before booking, give you a discount or a partial refund (when it’s last minute and not known when you schedule). It was a bit excessive, especially considering the direct involved of our room (a patio chairs were moved) and how we weren’t even warned when checking in. I was actually startled by it, thinking someone was trying to enter from the patio while me and my family were sleeping. A heads-up could have avoided this frustration and not-so-great review.

Nice hotel. Had an indoor pool which we did not utilize. Close to Indiana Dunes National Park. Room was nice. Good bed. Had dinner at Lucrezia Cafe in Chesterton. About a 10 minute drive. Excellent!!

This hotel has no elevator, and our room was about a 5 minute walk from the front desk. We had a heavy cooler, along with all of our many bags that we had to carry up and down the stairs, then another 5 minutes down a never ending hallway to our room. The bed made an explosion sound that echoed below the room everytime when sitting on it. The bed was also very uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not very friendly or hospitable. The sauna was not working, and the pool is very dirty all along the walls of the pool there are dirt marks, along with finger and feet prints. I will absolutely not stay here again.
