The cottage has two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a complete kitchen, laundry, large dining table for meals and games, and a large living room with plenty of seating for groups to gather or enjoy tv.

Each room has its own tv.

You may enjoy the acreage of the property but be safe! Watch out for wildlife, like snakes, but please don’t harm.

You may follow the trail at the end of the driveway that parallels Lear Pond Rd but do not enter or cross spillway. That is the end of the property line.

Suggest keeping dogs leashed on walks due to other neighborhood dogs.

Located near the Sandhills National Forest and Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy trails for hiking.

We do allow fishing at the pond and use of our two paddle boards. The pond holds bass and plenty of blue gill and cat fish. It is not uncommon to spot ducks of many varieties or geese on the pond. You may also spot cranes and Osprey enjoying the fish. You are welcome to bring your own kayaks or canoes. No gas boats.

There is some fishing equipment you are welcome to use on the front porch, but you can use your own as well. Bait and equipment can also be purchased nearby at The Crooked Hook at 15365 HWY 9.

We have a few life jackets for guests and recommend all adults and children wear them on the water.
