The room was awful spoke to receptionist who was lovely but they couldn’t move us till day after as the hotel was full so we had to put up with a generator working all night behind a door in the room. Breakfast was cold ordered toast with it it never came even though we told the server we ordered toast still waiting for her to bring it to the table they did move us rooms so we did get a lovely quiet sleep the 2nd night I have stayed here before and had a wonderful time was a little disappointed this time The staff are lovely very helpful and polite The hotel itself could do with a make over if you look closely it’s not as clean as it was things look tired, shower tray edges not very clean curtains stained

The room (Most Desirable) surpassed our expectations. The staff were all friendly and service excellent. Breakfast was fantastic quality with a huge choice.

Arrived at the hotel, the front door was inoperative, therefore had to use the side door. Checked in via the desk, the one of the two lifts were not working. Arrived at the room, to find that it was dusty and the bedside shelves were not clean/had marks on them. We were advised that we had been upgraded to a room overlooking the racecourse, but this out us next to two major roads. We were in Room 315 which meant that through the night, as could just hear the main road. As a bonus, next door could be heard snoring. Therefore overall a terrible night sleep.

Was here for a friends birthday so was only in the room to sleep and to shower the next morning. Room was comfy, clean and great to sleep in. No noise disturbance at all. Shower was great. Only downside was the TV. It’s low on the wall and the remote wasn’t good. Parking is limited and the bays are tight but at £20 couldn’t really complain considering it’s under the hotel itself and others in walking distance are similarly priced. As I said though I literally needed somewhere to sleep rather than to spend the day in and this more than did the trick. Great value too.
