Fine for a short stopover

I had not fully realise the distance from the airport terminal and as my flight was a late arrival the shuttle bus service had ceased and needed to go down to get a taxi. Which of itself was not an issue but was confusing in the fact that you could hear The joining the urban Taxi, The Lantau Taxi or the new Territories taxi Q… On arrival at 11:30 pm check-in was efficient but when I asked about beverage or food was informed that all the outlets were closed in the room there was a QR scan code for services but I was so tired I couldn’t be bothered… The room was fine And bed comfortable. With the two rooms linked, so one had the sofa and the other the bed. Both of the Toilet/showers Were comfortable but a bit small and the shower was excellent in both! The shuttle service to Tun Chung was efficient as was the shuttle service to the airport when it was working – food for dinner was well prepared and efficiently served.

Night check in staff unpleasant and not helpful. Daytime concierge staff very helpful and pleasant Chose hotel because site lists airport shuttle but hotel told me they don’t have shuttle and we could walk from airport. Had difficult trip on airport train with long walk late at night to find out there is airport shuttle we could have taken

Regala Skycity is a very nice hotel near the airport in Hong Kong. The view from the top of the building is terrific. The location is very convenient if your aim is to get to the airport, as it is right near it and they have a shuttle from the hotel. On the other hand, because it is near the airport there is nothing interesting in the neighborhood as far as walking. The upside is the hotel does also have a shuttle to take you to the Tung Chung subway station. Given the city is lively late into the night, it would be nice if the shuttle service also ran late into the evening. I believe the last ride back to the hotel was some time after 9PM.

The hotel is very well designed and very well organized, close to the airport and perfect as a transit hotel between flights. I would strongly recommend it and use it again myself. It would be good if the hotel or Expedia could make clear that bus stop 14 at the airport is the one for the hotel bus
