Rural Farmhouse with Spacious Garden near Charroux

Les Volets Bleus is a spacious, rustic farmhouse carefully renovated to retain characterful features such as exposed beams, traditional shutters and an original fireplace. It is situated in a small rural hamlet (Bernessac) under 2 miles from the lovely historic town of Charroux where there is a convenience store, 2 bakeries, and a fruit and vegetable shop. There is also a Tourist Information, pharmacy, Post office, banks, hairdresser, bars and restaurants.

Les Volets Bleus is situated on the D148 between Civray and Confolens. It is set in private grounds with plenty of off street parking, a large, grassed garden with sunloungers, an outside dining area and BBQ. There is an inflatable kids splash pool available to use if required.
The house has a large porch for storage and a spacious open plan lounge and dining kitchen downstairs. Upstairs are four large bedrooms, two double and two twin, and the bathroom.
Lounge- equipped with comfortable L shaped seating area, woodburning stove, French and British Freesat TV, WIFI, Xbox with many games and DVDs, Kids sized games table with table football, pool and table hockey. Large box of board games, jigsaws, colouring books.
Dining kitchen- extendable dining table and chairs to seat up to 10, fridge/freezer, electric cooker/oven, microwave, coffee filter machine, toaster, rice cooker. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining.
The Master bedroom has feature beams and a king sized rustic oak bed. The other spacious double bedroom is accessed through one of the twin rooms. There are two twin bedrooms, one with feature beams.
The bathroom is also upstairs and is equipped with a toilet, sink, bath with shower over, and a washing machine. Towels and bedding are provided.
Heating for winter months is provided by the woodburner in the lounge (fuel available to purchase in Savigne), large portable gas heater for the dining kitchen, and electric portable room heaters for bedrooms and bathroom.
