Old home. Wish it were cleaner.
This home was nice and has some potential, but we chose to leave early for the following reasons: Smell. The owner assured us that the carpets were professionally cleaned prior to our arrival, but we still smelled a strong odor that was reminiscent of a dog.Unclean areas. We noticed food stuck on the counters in the kitchen, and there were also screws on the floors and the counters. The screws were likely from the construction that was taking place on the back deck.Bathrooms. Both bathrooms just weren’t cleaned well. The master bath had hair on the floor and the tub drained incredibly slowly (likely due to the old age of the home). The guest bathroom upstairs was also pretty dirty.I will say, that the host was easy to communicate with. I expressed our concerns, And although I hope to receive a full night’s refund, we only received 50 back.
