Bang for your buck kind of stay

Check in was easy and communication with Kathy was clear—she told us we could stay past the checkout time, which made for a lovely last morning on our trip. The house was nestled in trees and looks out onto the lake; the views were great! The house itself was perfectly functional and we especially appreciated the coffee, thought we’d wished the listing specified that there’s no central AC (just one window unit in the living room). We visited in August and it took us 2 days to cool down the house using the unit and fans to get it comfortable for sleeping. Everything was clean, but it did smell like someone used to smoke in this house. All told though, we felt like we got a great value for our money and loved the lake front setting.

Family reunion

Cottage is a short drive into Charlevoix. The drive was a little longer with it being venetian festival and all the traffic. That being said, it was great to be out a little ways and on lovely lake susan. Beds were comfortable, coffee, waters and toiletries were all provided which was super nice. We enjoyed our stay!

Adorable lake house

We had a wonderful experience at this cozy lake house. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was impeccably clean. The check-in process was smooth and easy, which was a big plus. While there is no central air, the portable AC unit in the living room and fans in the bedrooms helped cool the space, though it was still a bit humid. A few rooms had a slight musty smell, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. The real bonus was the access to a fire pit, canoe, and kayaks—though, unfortunately, we couldn’t take advantage of them due to the weather and the short length of our stay. Some of the landscaping could be trimmed back so it’s easier to access the sidewalk. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a peaceful location.

Sufficient for our stay in the Charlevoix area. Quiet neighborhood and conveniently located. Missed the loons though! Kathy was readily available. My friend left her necklace and Kathy said she would mail it to us, thanks Kathy!
