Very nice staff. Place needs improvement. Shower grout was dirty and had fingís in corner at bottom. Mattress old and uncomfortable. Furniture looks very in cared for . Needs more care. The actual location and building were nice. Nice interior patios.

Great location! Very walkable to shops, the market, carriage rides, and restaurants. Loved the morning breakfast and evening wine. They also offered cookies at 8:00 pm but we were always out and about and missed these! We would definitely stay here again!

Feel Ike we got very last room, Expedia room I should say. Under dark breezeway by ice machine. Musty, damp, very warn room. Wall AC unit did not work well. Very noisy and intermittent running. Parking ease was the best part. DEFINITELY not worth $400 per night. Blocks are very small so staying 4-5 away from market is no big deal. I will stay farther out next time.

As a former pet owner I was surprised to see several dogs allowed to stay at your location. While being supportive of dog owners, I was a bit disappointed to have them on my floor. I could hear barking from time to time. Maybe it would be a good idea to have guests with dogs on the same floor as not to disturb non pet guests…..

We came earlier hoping that they would help us to find parking and then thinking that we'll return at 3 pm but front desk gentleman told us not to worry and park in their lot. No extra charge. Their parking is $25 per night flat. This is completely nothing compare with other parking prices in this area. Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. We went to the museum and paid to see the exact furniture we got to sleep and put our things in in this hotel. The location is the best. This hotel sits right in the middle of everything but it's so quiet we couldn't believe it. They serve breakfast and some food with vine and sweets before going to bed. The breakfast/ rest area in the courtyard is unbelievable. Super great place to stay in Charleston. We will be back and this IS the place to stay.

A huge touch of Charleston charm

Every minute spent at the Indigo Inn was delightful! The staff was friendly and most accommodating. A highlight was the wine/beer/charcuterie happy hour, and then warm cookies and milk in the evening…..all enjoyed in the beautiful courtyard. The rooms were decorated with pure Charleston charm. A delightful visit indeed…I will be back!

The Indigo Inn is a charming boutique hotel that feels cozy and homey. The location is unbeatable—right in downtown Charleston. We walked everywhere and only needed an Uber when we were in a rush. Tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and shops are steps away. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the complimentary food was a great touch. Light breakfast is served daily, plus a 5 PM wine and cheese hour, and freshly baked cookies at 8 PM (my dad’s favorite!). The courtyard is peaceful, and the vibe overall is relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in Room 202, which was spacious and had great AC and comfortable beds. However, it was directly across from the housekeeping storage area, which made for an eyesore every time we opened the door. Staff did their best to keep it tidy, but I’d recommend requesting a different room. The bathroom was small and only had one sink. I also wish there were bottled or refillable water options in the room, as staying hydrated was a bit tough with the small cups provided. No gym on-site, but we walked so much that it wasn’t a huge deal. At just under $300 a night, it felt like a great value for Charleston, where many hotels in the area are much pricier. Would stay again—just with a reusable water bottle and a different room request!

The Indigo Inn is a mixed bag. First of all let’s list the good! The staff is professional and friendly. The location is excellent. You are close to shopping restaurants and local activities. Charleston is a pretty walkable city and the Indigo Inn Is central to it all. The amenities are nice. There’s a breakfast every morning that is decent and offers a good variety for a breakfast bar. They put out a charcuterie every afternoon with wine, beer and an assortment of soft drinks. There are warm cookies at night that are delicious. Coffee and tea are available 24/7. Our rooms were cleaned each day with fresh towels and were done in a very timely fashion. There is a nice courtyard to sit in for breakfast or anytime really. Now for the areas that could use some improvement. The rooms are old and the furnishings are old. The bathroom could be a challenge if you’re a larger person. It really is a motel, not a hotel. The interior has outdoor hallways and metal stairs that go from floor to floor. There is an elevator which was helpful for our luggage. The bed was not uncomfortable but the pillows are rock are. There I is lot of storage. They provided us with an extension cord as there are not many outlets. Therooms are dark and the air conditioner is old and VERY loud. It is on a thermostat and goes off and on all night. It also could use a good cleaning. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would ask for a room that had an outdoor window and I would also know what to expect.
