Not as good as it used to be.

We’ve been coming here for years, so I’m sad to see things are on a downward trend. The clientele had dropped dramatically! I don’t know if it was wedding/birthday guests or the marina crowd, but it felt more like Myrtle Beach than Charleston/Mt. Pleasant. Our room was showing water and tear. Hotel guests should have guaranteed parking, close to the entrances. We had to stay out late after dinner on Friday because of the Party at the Point attendees-there was no parking within 1/4 of a mile of the property.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The property amenities were nice. The room was comfortable and the staff kept the room straightened and supplied with fresh towels. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close. Overall, a thoroughly pleasant stay.

Over priced and parking was terrible! No parking reserved for guest! Paying those prices should not have to walk for 15 minutes from where you parked to get to the Hotel! Other than that the place was nice.

Bathroom shower knob was extremely difficult to turn on and off. Bathroom was dirty hair on the toilet when we arrived. Floors dirty. Dirty doors sticky substance seems like haven’t been cleaned in years. Sliding door difficult to lock and the screen door closes automatically and shouldn’t. Neighbors smoked the entire time cigarette smoke coming in through the vents. Loud banging noises all nights. The AC unit cutting on and off makes a popping noise every single time, difficult to sleep.

Loved the room and the location on the harbor. Not impressed with the hotel's service or communication. The hotel hosted an event on the beach the night we were there--the impact to us was zero parking in the hotel lot and zero access to the beach area. We couldn't even walk through the area to get to our room. We got turned around by event security staff and had to go all the way around the hotel just to get to our room. The hotel did NOT tell us this event was planned during our stay and did NOT warn us that parking would be difficult. Nice hotel but this was obnoxious.

I made the reservation thru hotels.com total price was to be 219.00 total with all taxes included. That is why I booked Today hotels.com charged 164.00, Harborside 100., and another 114.00. I checked out personally, to make sure 219.00 and voice my concerns, bathroom was not clean, harborside is usually squeaky clean, it was pretty nasty. This afternoon check bank they charged me for complaining in person?? Instead of writing hate emails which I do not approve of I chose to do it in person. Now 400.00 a nite, less than stellar stay!!!

Multiple requests for clean towels unmet for hours. Room wasn’t restocked daily with toilet paper. Bathroom condition was poor. No ventilation fan. Walls beat up. Paint peeling off the door. Tub caulking falling off. TV service was down for multiple days and then when it came back on, it was a snowshow. Party at the point parking situation needs to be addressed. If you don’t have a resort key, you shouldn’t be allowed to park at the hotel.

Fire department very prompt to respond to a false alarm due to room smoke detector but could not watch US OPEN because the channel it was on was all fuzy and maintenance could not correct the problem. All quite comical.

We had a wonderful stay this Memorial weekend! We loved the pools, which were very nicely maintained, the staff and rooms were wonderful and the rest of the amenities were great!! We had a beautiful view from our room! The king bed was honestly the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever experienced. The room was a great size, a good layout and we really enjoyed the patio doors that opened. My husband especially enjoyed the room’s desk and bookcases for storage! This resort is very family friendly and we were able to see two weddings take place during our visit! So fun! The property itself is beautiful and in a gated area, which we were very pleased with! The resort is close to downtown Charleston and all the best places to eat and shop in Patriot’s Point and Mount Pleasant! We live in upstate SC and come to Charleston a few times a year. This resort was recommended to us by some friends and we decided to try it! We are so glad we did and honestly, I think it’s the only place we will stay when we visit from here on out!! At first, based on other reviews, I was a little worried about staying here. I know not everyone has the same standards or experiences at hotels, but we were very impressed with our stay! Do not let the negative feedback turn you away! If I had to write anything for productive feedback for the resort, I would suggest adding more parking or enforcing parking for guests only, especially on Friday nights. Nothing to deter us from staying here though.

Very clean and a great location, but maintenance was lacking. Shower had lukewarm water that was reported but was not corrected during our 2 night stay. Decor was great and beds were very comfortable.

Great location and great water views. So close to so many restaurants, both sit down and take-out. Close enough drive to King St but nice having the convenience of the water taxi from the hotel. We did both. Pool areas are all really nice. The hours for food aren’t that great but the food wasn’t either for the Tiki Bar. Still, so many places to get food.
