Completely renovated chalet on a large plot. It has been designed to offer you maximum comfort and tranquility during your stay.
South-facing terrace, very sunny with a panoramic view of the Mont-Blanc range. Located in a very quiet residential area, yet very close to the city center. 1 km from the SNCF train station.
The bus stop is just 5 minutes away to access all the activities of the valley in all seasons. Tennis, swimming pool, golf ......... cable cars, and ski slopes
On request before your arrival we can provide you with a fully equipped baby bed (sheet, duvet, sleeping bag ...) also a stroller.
You will have private parking. Internet access
There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Family ski trip

Beautiful fully rebuilt chalet with old world charm on the edge of town and a few blocks up the hill on a quiet street. Views are spectacular from every window. This home is furnished with love and years of collecting thoughtful pieces. Kitchen fully appointed, books for all ages, some toys for children.

The best VRBO ever!

My friend and I stayed here for five nights in early September. Dorine’s chateau is amazing. The view of Aigulle du Midi and Mont Blanc are over the top, The layout of the chalet, the furnishings, the kitchen supplies, comfortable beds.. best ever. Dorine and her husband were communicative and helpful. We used Google translate as their English is limited and we don’t speak French. Thank you both for a great stay

Summer 2024

This property is by far the best we have stayed in after 15 years in Chamonix every summer. The property was perfect with a fantastic location just 15mins walk from the town. The property was beautifully presented and exceptionally clean with all of the items you would need for your stay. Dorine the host was very helpful and was always on hand to offer any advise and help should you need it. I would not hesitate to use this property again and it would be perfect for a couple or family.

The perfect chalet

My husband and I stayed at the chalet for 6 nights in September. We had a wonderful time. The chalet is beautiful and cosy. Very clean and comfortable. The location is a short walk to town and by the river and forest, with great running and walking trails near by. Dorine was friendly and helpful, we appreciated having her next door. We hope to be back next year.

Charming chalet with amazing views

Our family of three had a wonderful stay at this beautiful little cottage. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself is very charming and well built with quality materials throughout. We spent a lot of our time sitting on the patio staring at the beautiful Mont Blanc and watching the paragliders floating in the air. The walk to town was very short, especially beautiful along the river. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return again.

Lovely Home!

The house was lovely in a location with a 5-star view! Each room was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Every amenity we might need was readily available. The hostess, Dorine, was always available and very helpful. This will be our new place to stay in Chamonix.

Perfect!

We could not have selected a better property. The Chalet Le Grand E is the perfect chalet! It has everything you need. The property is very clean, comfortable and inviting. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. The host was very welcoming and kind. She and her husband kindly volunteered to pick us up at the bus station. Words cannot describe the views from the chalet. Absolutely stunning! The location is perfect. Just a short walk to the town or to the trail heads. We will definitely stay at Chalet Le Grand E again! My heart is full.

Amazing chalet, amazing views!

One of the best places we have ever stayed. The chalet is wonderful, wooden exterior and interior, all the conveniences you could want, very nice throughout. The views are world class! Sitting on the front deck looking at Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi and the Aiguille Verte will create memories for a lifetime!

Perfect chalet with an amazing view

The chalet was easy to find thanks to the clear instructions on the website and communication with the owner. The owner met us at our later than planned arrival time and showed us around the chalet. It was much bigger that the photos had lead us to believe, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is positioned close enough to walk into Chamonix but far enough away to be peaceful. It is close to amazing walks and cable cars. We didn’t use the car all week. The owner was there when we left even though it was quite early. We didn’t need any help during the week but I’m sure they would have been very accommodating. I would have no hesitation in recommending this chalet to family and friends. It was perfect for us.

Even better than described

The chalet is even better than described and the view is too spectacular to capture in a photo. The trip had us arriving late after a very long travel day and I was worried about getting from the bus station to the rental. The gracious hosts offered to pick us up. They also helped out a member of our family who arrived early. To sum up, they were excellent hosts in every way. At the chalet we were greeted by a stunning landscape of moonlight on Mont Blanc, and great weather followed for 8 days, the last week of October. In addition to providing a quiet retreat, the location is a 5 minute walk to the bus that takes you to town, which we considered ideal.

Perfect for a UTMB home base

We flew in from Detroit, Michigan USA and drove in from Geneva for a kid-free vacation and the UTMB. This property and owner were amazing and it's an awesome place to stay! There was so much thought that went into creating the house to be absolutely perfect for it's guest to experience the feeling of Chamonix! We are so impressed with the attention to the small details it has just created such an awesome experience for my wife and and I. The location is cool because it's just a 10 minute walk to town down a beautiful trail along the river and it's far enough way that it is private and secluded. It was really and truly remarkable!

Superbe chalet à Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Le grand “E” est un chalet super bien équipé, très confortable et chaleureux. Il est décoré avec goût. La finition intérieure en bois et céramique est moderne tout en respectant le style savoyard. On peut se rendre au centre de Chamonix en bus (gratuit) en quelques minutes, deux fois l‘heure, ou à pied par le sentier qui suit l’Arve, en une quinzaine de minutes. Pour les courses, c’est super pratiques. Plusieurs épiceries au centre de Chamonix offrent tout ce qu’il faut pour préparer les repas que nous voulons prendre au chalet. Sinon, il y a des restaurant pour tous les goûts. Les propriétaires habitent la maison d’à côté et sont toujours des disponibles pour répondre à nos questions ou demandes. Ce sont des hôtes super sympathiques. À partir de Chamonix, on peut faire plein d’activités de plein air tels la randonnée en montage, le para-pente ou le ski (en hiver bien sûr). Sans oublier de monter à l’aiguille du midi (3842 mètres) en téléphérique pour admirer la vallée de Chamonix et le Mont Blanc (4810 mètres) de plus près. Choisissez une journée assez ensoleillée car au-dessus des nuages, on perd la perspective et la beauté des montagnes environnantes. La Suisse et l’Italie ne sont pas très loin et des excursions d’une journée à Genève, les Lavaux (vignobles en terrasse près de Lausanne) , Courmayeur ou Aoste (Italie) ajoutent aux experiences possible à partir de ce merveilleux endroit. Que ce soit pour se reposer, pour faire du sport ou du tourisme, ce chalet est l’endroit idéal a Chamonix!

Lovely mountain chalet!!

This mountain chalet is better than advertised. My husband, 3 children and I had a wonderful time in Chamonix. The chalet is convenient to the town center. We walked or took the bus in every day. The bus stop is just a few minutes away. We had a few days of rain but we didn’t mind because our home was so cozy. It had the most wonderful rain shower. Plenty of hot water. It wasn’t lacking for anything and it was incredibly clean. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us the first day and live right next door if you need anything. If we are ever back in Chamonix we would definitely stay here.

Fantastic chalet in a great location

The chalet is just perfect for a stay in Chamonix. The views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding valley are wonderful. The chalet has everything you need for your stay including comfortable beds, soft towels and a log burner for those chilly evenings. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook dinner and if not then it's only a short 15 minute walk into the centre of Chamonix. Dorine is an excellent host and will make sure your stay is perfect.

L'accueil, la décoration et tous les petits details du chalet disposés pour notre confort nous ont tout de suite donné envie de défaire nos bagages. La vue est magnifique, à la fois sur le massif du mont blanc mais aussi sur le jardin plein de fleurs . La proximité de Chamonix nous a permis de tout faire à pied et de faire de ces deux semaines, des vacances à la fois sportives et reposantes.
