Agriturismo La Casetta del Sole - Appartamento Il Casale
On our organic farm, we grow a variety of crops, from olive trees, to seasonal traditional cereals. Part of our 18 hectares land is also dedicated to reforestation, with a large proportion of woodland, including a walnut plantation.
The “agriturismo” is made of two main buildings: the main house which is divided in a big apartment upstairs (“il Casale”) and a small flat (“il Nido”) and a communal room downstairs; the “Apartments”, a separate unit with two independent accommodations (“Appartamento Verde” and “Appartamento Blu”).
La Casetta del Sole sits on top of a sun-loving hill, overlooking the stunning valleys, the Amiata and Cetona mountains, lake Chiusi, and medieval villages such as, Panicale, Paciano, Città della Pieve, Chiusi, Montepulciano.
You can access the site via a private, well maintained, old country road.
The staff is made up of Annalisa and Uli, biologist and agronomist: we are the point of reference for any problem that may arise during your stay, and to give you tourist information regarding the surroundings, local events and curiosities regarding the area; we are present on site because we live in one of the apartments.
Perfect for a big family or a large group of friends (up to 7 people)
The guesthouse occupies the entire 100 m2 of the first floor of the building and has its own private access, through stairs and a small, covered terrace south facing the Umbrian hills. It has two double bedrooms (one double bed and two single beds), one single bedroom and one bathroom with a large shower. The kitchen has a dining table and is fully equipped with modern comforts such as electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room is divided by an arch, in a sunny dining area, and a seating area around a big traditional old fire pit.
There is also a mezzanine with TV and a comfortable double sofa bed.
“Il Casale” has a gazebo for its exclusive use close to the pool, with table and chairs.
The house is equipped with gas heating and is lovingly furnished with “antiques and poor” style furniture, and a personalized artistic touch; the ceilings have exposed wooden beams and the floors are made of parquet and antique terracotta.
The following is at your disposal during your stay: swimming pool shared with the other guests of the structure, open from the beginning of June until the end of September, relaxation area, large garden, outdoor barbecue, ping-pong table, laundry, children's bed, cot and high chair (at extra cost), linen included (on request we also offer a daily linen change service at extra cost), free WiFi connection, car parking. Pets are welcome on request, at a one-off cost of €30.
