The hotel was full when we arrived, at 3am, despite booking and paying for the room weeks in advance.
The night watch, who was unable to communicate with us, eventually called his boss who found us a room in one of his other hotels in the neighbourhood.
They left us to shlep our suitcases through the night, on foot, and when we got there, the room was filthy and cold, and stank of cigarette smoke. There was no hot water on either day, and the hotel staff kept pestering us for tips.
